TOP Clubhouse is a warm and caring space where “community is therapy” for people living with serious mental illness. The members work in partnership with staff to operate the clubhouse while working to achieve wellness, lead dignified lives and realize their dreams.

TOP provides integrated services to adults age 18 and older with histories of mental illness. The program accepts individuals with histories of homelessness and substance use. TOP Clubhouse assists its members in understanding their mental illness, coping with barriers and developing the skills needed to live independently, such as obtaining employment (transitional, supported or independent), securing suitable housing, returning to school and building meaningful relationships and social networks.

TOP Clubhouse provides psychosocial rehabilitation services using the structure of a work-ordered day in which members and staff work side by side. With the support of staff, members plan and execute clerical, kitchen, wellness, and maintenance tasks. In addition to participating in a work-ordered day, members engage in a vibrant social and recreational program in the evenings and on weekends.

The Clubhouse offers evidence-based practices to help members cope with barriers, such as the following:

  • Wellness Recovery Action Plan
  • health and wellness programs
  • smoking cessation
  • integrated services for co-occurring disorders
