Thanksgiving 2026
Join Goddard Riverside for a festive meal at our Older Adult Community Center (593 Columbus Ave)! Our dining room will be open from noon until 3 PM on Christmas Day, Thursday, November 26th. Everyone who would like a meal is welcome; there is a one meal per person limit.
Holiday Meals bring the community together on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day to serve a festive holiday dinner to our neighbors, including those with homes and those without shelter. We welcome guests in our dining room and also deliver hundreds of meals throughout the Upper West Side. Concurrently, our partners at the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center in Yorkville deliver hundreds of freshly-made meals on the East Side.
A neighborhood tradition for more than 40 years, Holiday Meals are made possible by donations from businesses, contributions from corporate partners, and hundreds of volunteers. It is an incredible community effort!
Sign Up to Volunteer
Volunteers are key to the success of our holiday meals. Every year on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, more than 200 volunteers gather at 593 Columbus Avenue to cook and serve up to 1,500 delicious homemade turkey dinners.
The 2026 Thanksgiving volunteer sign-up will be available starting the middle of October. To receive a notification of when shifts open, please sign up for our Volunteer Newsletter. Volunteer shifts will be on Thanksgiving and the day before Thanksgiving, November 25th and 26th.
