In Washington DC, after years of “fiscal cliff” brinkmanship and crisis management in passing federal budget bills, Congress and the President finally arrived at a two year federal budget deal. It’s not a “grand bargain” but does protect entitlement programs and repeals some of the worst sequester cuts.
What’s next for one of the least productive and most deeply divided Congress in 2014? More pointless votes on repealing the Affordable Care Act or movement on creating jobs, raising the minimum wage and long delayed Immigration reform legislation?
