Q: What is Goddard Forever?

A: Goddard Forever is our planned giving/legacy society. Leaving a legacy gift is a thoughtful approach to ensure the future of Goddard Riverside. By leaving a gift in your will, you join a select group of friends who inspire others by your commitment to invest in your community.

Q: What is “legacy” giving?

A: Legacy giving, sometimes called planned giving, is your intent to leave a gift beyond your lifetime. This is most often in the form of gifts in a will.

Q: Can I leave a legacy gift if it’s not in my will?

A: Yes. You can name Goddard Riverside as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy, IRA, or other retirement plan assets. Or you can name Goddard as the beneficiary of a charitable trust, or a donor-advised fund.

Q: Is it difficult to write a will?

A: Not at all. In fact, through our partner FreeWill, you can make or update your will online in approximately 20 minutes. Even if you don’t leave a gift to Goddard, you can still use this free tool.
