Goddard friends, supporters and staff gathered for our Annual Bash earlier this month to celebrate our Book Prize winners and raise money for our work.
This year’s Bash focused on our Behavioral Health programs, which address mental health and addiction. A video introduced attendees to clients of our mobile mental health teams, mental health clubhouse, and supported employment programs.
“They came in at my worst and are helping me get to whatever my best looks like,” said Ian, a client of our Intensive Mobile Treatment team. He then took the stage to talk about his experience with Angela Henry, our longtime Bash host.
Henry announced Copaganda: How Police and the Media Manipulate Our News by Alec Karakatsanis as the winner of the Goddard Riverside Stephan Russo Book Prize for Social Justice. Young Change Makers: Compassionate Kids by Stacy C. Bauer, illustrated by Emanuela Ntamack, claimed the Goddard Riverside CBC Youth Book Prize for Social Justice.
Thanks to everyone who turned out to celebrate with us and support our work!
