Book Giveaway

Goddard Riverside’s Children’s Book Giveaway will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 11 AM to 2 PM.

Join us for an afternoon of fun and activities while picking up brand-new books! We will have books for children of all ages, baby to young adult, thanks to the generous donations of our publishing partners.

At 11:30 AM, enjoy a book chat with Author Dianna Wilson Sirkovsky, winner of the 2024 Goddard Riverside CBC Youth Book Prize for Social Justice.

Just One Pebble. One Boy’s Quest to End Hunger by Dianna Wilson Sirkovsky tells the inspiring true story of 9-year-old Braeden Mannering, who made a difference by raising awareness and providing aid for hunger relief in his community

At the giveaway, a variety of book categories including baby & board books, beginning readers, middle grades, picture books, YA fiction, and nonfiction will be available. There will be a 5-book per-person limit. After 1:30 PM an unlimited amount of books will be allowed to be taken. Books will be available until supplies last.

The giveaway will be hosted in partnership with our Upper West Side Beacon Program, located at Joan of Arc School Complex, 154 West 93rd Street.
