Goddard Riverside’s 34th Annual Book Fair will be the first held completely online.

“The Book Fair is here just in time for the holidays!” said Beth Dunphe, Goddard’s director of development. “Just go to the Book Fair site at goddard.org/bookfair2020 this Saturday morning at 8 to shop for brand-new bestsellers at half price or less.”

As always, the Book Fair will feature titles from a wide variety of categories, including Fiction, History, Mystery, Biography and Memoir, Cookbooks, Home and Garden, Children’s and Young Adult. You can also pick up classic Book Fair swag such as t-shirts and tote bags.

Usually shopping at the fair involves poring over rows of books on tables. This year you’ll be able to browse online by category or search for the title you want. The books will be shipped directly to you from Ingram Content Group, the nation’s largest book distributor.

“That means no more paying for a taxi ride home if you buy more than you can carry!” said Dunphe.

Shoppers will also enjoy longer hours—while supplies last. There’s a finite number of books available so the numbers may dwindle significantly by the end of the weekend. The Book Fair will open at 8 AM on Saturday, November 21st and run straight through until midnight on Sunday, the 22nd.

One thing that hasn’t changed: Goddard’s generous partners in the publishing community donate brand-new books for free, and all proceeds support our programs for the community.

Want first crack at the books? Get a ticket to our traditional opening-night party, the Book Bash! This year’s online Bash will offer music, a cooking lesson from Goddard’s expert kitchen staff, and a chance to mingle with other book lovers. Your favorite category managers will be on hand to recommend books. Tickets start at just $25 on the Book Bash page at goddard.org/BookBash2020.
