Jonathan Mechanic is Chairman of Fried Frank’s Real Estate Department and a member of the firm’s Governance Committee. He is widely recognized as one of the leading real estate attorneys in the country, advising developers, investors, REITs, and lenders on complex, high-profile commercial transactions.
He has represented major institutional clients including JPMorgan, Citadel, Citigroup, and Blackstone on transformative headquarters developments, joint ventures, ground leases, and large-scale leasing transactions across New York City.
A longtime educator, Jon has taught real estate transactions at Harvard Law School for more than a decade and lectures regularly at NYU and Columbia. He is a recipient of REBNY’s Bernard H. Dan Seder is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Bilt, a leading platform focused on home and neighborhood commerce. In addition to Bilt, Dan serves as an Operating Partner at Kairos HQ, a venture studio incubating ideas in housing and healthcare. Prior to founding Bilt, he led private equity, venture capital, and real estate investments at Stone Point Capital and began his career in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs.

Will Milam is a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and Head of MSREI U.S., where he leads the platform’s multi-strategy U.S. business. Since joining Morgan Stanley in 2019, he previously served as Head of U.S. Investments for MSREI before stepping into his current role. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Will brings a broad background in investing in and managing real estate across multiple property types and market cycles. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he worked at HighBrook Investment Management, a mid-market real estate private equity firm, and OTO Development, a hotel investor and operator. He holds a BA in Economics from Washington & Lee University.
