The National College Attainment Network (NCAN) has listed its 2025-2026 Policy Council Members and our very own Dr. LaKisha Williams, Director of #DegreesNYC at the Options Center is among the leaders chosen. The Policy Council is a group made up of leaders from across the country dedicated to discussing policy strategies with the mission of advancing equal opportunities and affordability in post-secondary education.
“It’s an honor to be a part of it, it will enhance our advocacy work and being Goddard’s vision to the national level,” LaKisha stated. “Students will be part of it every step of the way, helping to set the advocacy priorities for college access and equity.”
In addition, Ms. Wiliams led a session called Lessons From Our Foremothers: How the Model of the Black Women’s Club Movement Defies the Narrative of the Glass Cliff at the recent Eleversity Workforce Diversity Roundtable.
