Goddard Ads Engage, Inform Upper West Siders

“When our neighbors thrive, we all do.”

That’s the theme of our ad campaign that rolled out across the Upper West Side this month. The colorful ads are displayed on bus shelters, CitiBike stations, store windows and lampposts from West 65th through West 110th Street.  Some feature images from our programs, representing our six cause areas.

“Some Upper West Siders don’t know about us. Others know we exist but don’t know what we do. Some may have come up through one of our After Schools, or they have a grandparent who goes to one of the Older Adult Centers, but they don’t know about our programs in college access, or homeless outreach, or housing,” said Goddard Riverside President Dr. Roderick L. Jones. “We wanted to remind people we’re here and connect with them on building a stronger community.”

The ads have a QR code that connects people to our Neighbors page, with opportunities to volunteer, donate, and learn more about our programs.

They’re supplemented by underwriting announcements on WNYC, postcards mailed to addresses on the UWS, and paid ads on social media.

The campaign was designed in parternship with the media agency FYEye. The ads will remain in place into June, and potentially longer if no other advertiser claims the space. Plans are in the works for a second campaign next year on the Upper East Side, once our merger with the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center in Yorkville is complete.
