Every March, during Women’s History Month, Goddard Riverside’s Community Arts program hosts an exciting month-long intersectional, intergenerational, and interdisciplinary performance arts festival where mixed audiences gather to celebrate local women’s creative leadership. We look forward to seeing you all at the 10th Annual W.H.A.M.!

W.H.A.M. serves as Goddard Riverside Community Arts Program’s annual charitable fundraising drive that jointly supports our presented artists and the future of our program.

Emcee Shailah Edmonds—a trailblazing Black supermodel who’s graced runways for Versace, Armani, and Gucci—will guide our fabulous models down the runway with Live R&B Music by Amira B and her full brass band. Plus Refreshments Served!

Catherine Traykovski’s Saltwater Symphony: Creatures of the Caribbean Gallery Exhibition

Visual Art Exhibition with originals and prints for sale in support of our charitable mission.

Hidden deep-sea creatures and wild island birds rendered as solar plate eco-prints by community activist, teacher, and passionate environmental conservationist, Catherine F. Traykovski.

All Ages Maker’s Night Workshop

Let’s get artsy together! No pressure, just community fun. We’ll have fully-stocked arts and crafts stations for drawing, collage, clay, jewelry-making, face-painting and more.

Adults, feel free to float where the inspiration and materials lead you.

Parents and guardians, you are welcome to drop in with your family at any time. Youth and kids will enjoy special pop-up games and movement-based activities led by professional educators from Arts Ignite.

Eva’s Cooking Demonstration

Community Arts Associate Eva Rivas, a Dominican-American, crafts recipes inspired by her Dominican roots. In this demo she’ll provide a fun and simple Caribbean cooking experience.

Come and enjoy a delicious one pot meal and dessert, and leave with a full belly PLUS a copy of the recipe to keep the delicious vibes rolling for years to come!

This event is for all ages and costs $5 per person.
