NEW YORK, NY – On Thursday, May 1, 100 New York City students, including 10 seniors from our Options Center, announced their college choices at the annual National College Decision Day Draft Event, sponsored by Citi and the New York College Collective. The Collective designed this event to promote and support a college-going culture and raise awareness of the importance of college access organizations across the City. An enthusiastic group of families and friends were there to cheer on high school students for their successes. Shiba Russell, co-anchor at WNBC, and Kym Hampton, formerly of the New York Liberty, were there to interview and introduce the students.
