NEW YORK, NY – Goddard Riverside Community Center has received its sixth consecutive four-star rating from Charity Navigator, the leading charity evaluating organization in the United States. The rating, Charity Navigator’s highest, is given to nonprofits that practice exceptional fiscal responsibility and governance in fulfilling their mission.
In his letter to Goddard Riverside, CEO Ken Berger states “Only 3% of the charities we rate have received at least six consecutive four-star evaluations, indicating that Goddard Riverside Community Center outperforms most other charities in America. This “exceptional designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Goddard Riverside Community Center from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”
Goddard Riverside, a modern day settlement house, dates back more than 100 years and has been one of New York City’s leading human service organizations, meeting the essential needs of more than 17,000 individuals each year.
