Goddard Green Keepers Honored by the Broadway Malls Association

Goddard Riverside’s Green Keepers were honored at the 2014 Broadway Mall Association Gala. The Green Keepers – Goddard Riverside’s social enterprise business – is a vocational training program that trains formerly homeless men and women as horticulturalists. The Green Keepers have been a partner with the Broadway Malls for nearly 20 years, and employs our Green Keepers to provide the sanitation and horticulture services for the Upper West Side.

At the gala, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer, along with Councilmembers Helen Rosenthal and Mark Levine and the staff of Broadway Malls shared remarks about the work of Goddard Riverside and the Green Keepers. Accepting the award was Ashley Smith, a Green Keeper and member of the horticulture team.
