NEW YORK, NY – Goddard Riverside Community Center will host a special Musical Evenings concert on Monday, April 28, 2014 featuring the world-renowned Orion String Quartet. This concert will commemorate a special anniversary celebration for Musical Evenings and will take place at the Bernie Wohl Center, Goddard Riverside’s cultural and community arts space.

Annually, Goddard Riverside produces a series of Musical Evenings that allow friends of Goddard to host intimate gatherings in their homes while enjoying performances of their favorite chamber musicians. Since the inception of Musical Evenings, the series has raised more than $2 million to support Goddard Riverside’s programs and services.

The Orion String Quartet is one of the most sought-after ensembles in the United States. Since its inception, the Quartet – comprised of brothers Daniel Phillips (violin) and Todd Phillips (violin), Steven Tenenbom (violin), and Timothy Eddy (cello) – has been consistently praised for the fresh perspective and individuality it brings to performances, offering diverse programs that juxtapose classic works of the standard quartet literature with masterworks by twentieth and twenty-first century composers
