Permanent Supportive Housing for Previously Homeless Adults With a History of Mental Illness
Goddard Riverside’s five-story residence on West 140th Street provides affordable, permanent supportive housing for 48 previously homeless adults with a history of mental illness.
The building consists of fully furnished studio apartments, offices for the social service and building staff, and ample common space, including a dining room, kitchen, library, and backyard. A lower level provides office space for our Resource Center and ACT Team programs, in addition to services for tenants and others from the community.
On-site services include:
- medication monitoring
- case management
- building management
- money management
- entitlement assistance
- medical and psychiatric care
- substance use counseling
- work-readiness training
- meals program
- 24-hour/7-day front-desk security
- group activities ranging from trips and movies to quilting and gardening
