Helping people move off the streets for good

Our Safe Haven at 419 East 91st Street is slated to open in 2022. This pet-friendly building will offer 88 beds for men and women exiting street homelessness.
Moving from the street into permanent housing often takes time. Safe Havens are a key intermediate step that give people a stable place to live while they work on securing housing.
Our Safe Haven will provide personal space for each resident, as well as a locker. Residents will not be required to leave the building during the day. Three meals a day will be provided, plus snacks. The building will have 24-hour front desk security plus 12 hours of external security during the busiest time of day.
Residents will be surrounded with services including case management, recreational and wellness activities, and medical and psychiatric care. Staff will work with each resident to address their individual needs and help them gather the necessary documents and complete the application process to get permanent housing.
