Book Donations

Guidelines for Donating Books and Gift Items

We welcome donations of 2011 hardcover and/or trade paperback titles, as well as successful backlist titles, CDs, DVDs, calendars and other gift items. Our “hot titles” table would be especially grateful for fall releases when they are ready to ship.

Our most popular categories include:

• Art and photography
• African-American and Latino titles
• Classic literature and literary nonfiction
• Mystery
• Biographies
• Cookbooks
• Children’s books
• Gift items such as cards, journals and calendars
  • If possible, carton quantity donations of strong frontlist titles or successful backlist titles are greatly appreciated. Otherwise, 5-10 copies of each title is ideal.
  • We do not accept mass-market paperback books.
  • We cannot accept books on pallets or skids.

• Please CLEARLY LABEL the shipping box “For the Book Fair” and specify, on the exterior, whether the donation is for adults or children.
• Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
• If you would like an acknowledgement letter for tax purposes, please include a packing slip with a contact name and address.
• The deadline for deliveries for is November 11, 2011.
