Elderly Cut From Meals Program Two years ago, the city announced that it was streamlining its free meals program for the elderly to save money. According to advocates for the elderly, that left many homebound people without food that they depended on. An NYT article on Nov. 6, 2010 featured Goddard Riverside's initiative to find out what happened to the people who got cut off.
